Galinciems library

A local library and neighbourhood community centre. Winning entry in the 2015 architectural design competition.

The building’s massing and placement are shaped by a group of mature, protected trees on the site. The trees both anchor and distort the building’s otherwise strict square geometry, expressing the architectural concept of nature influencing the building’s form and plan configuration.
